Verse 1
The highest Lord is beggar to the Farmer´s steady arm
And currency no use to you if the Mother comes to harm

So I will not seek to offer you the silver or the gold
Instead my gifts from Life and Love to wonder and to hold

Verse 2
In Winter, when the air is chilled and steals the breath from me
My thoughts they turn to hearth and home, and where I long to be

The warmth of Winter´s comfort and the fire´s golden glow
I give to you as gifts to ease your pathway through the snow

Verse 3
In Springtime there´s a promise from the colours shining new
I give to you Spring´s flowers, so to make the promise true

And back to you the Summer sun that lengthens every day
Blue skies and singing birds to travel with you on your way
Travel with you on your way

Verse 4
In Autumn leaves turn green to gold and crumble in my hand
And Harvest is the lifework in the farms across the land

It´s then I give to you the fruits of this year´s growing fields
The sun within the Autumn yield to temper Winter´s seal

Verse 5
And Life goes on, and seasons change the years they pass us by
The gifts we give eachother are a kind that never die

The starlight I have claimed for you, to shine in darkest night
As years pass and fortunes sway, Love constant ever bright

Verse 6
The highest Lord is beggar to the Farmer´s steady arm
And currency no use to you if the Mother comes to harm

So I will not seek to offer you the silver or the gold
Instead my gifts from Life and Love to wonder and to hold
